The Mishra Lab welcomes Oliver Gatalo, an incoming second-year Ph.D. student. He joins the team with a Master of Public Health with concentration in Epidemiology from New York University and a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Math and Physics from the University of Toronto.
Prior to joining the team, Oliver worked at several public and social health organizations developing compartmental models to predict prevalence of infectious diseases and efficacy of intervention strategies. With the Mishra Lab, he will continue research on the dynamics of monkeypox and COVID-19 in settings with higher risk of transmission. Welcome to the team, Oliver!
