Yue Chen
Junior Data Scientist / Co-supervised by Dr. Jane Batt
Yue worked with the team as a Junior Data Scientist with Dr. Jane Batt, in collaboration with Dr. Mishra during 2021-2022. Her project involved developing a structured database from clinical charts of patients cared for in the tuberculosis clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital. Yue led the creation, testing, and validation of data via rulesets to extract structured information from unstructured medical records. Yue holds a Master of Science degree in Public Health from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Statistics from the University of Toronto. After working with the team, Yue joined ICES as an analyst.
