Yiqing is a Data Science Specialist – Epidemiologist at the MAP Centre for Urban Health Solution, St Michael’s Hospital. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and a Master of Science degree in Public Health. Prior to joining MAP Centre for Urban Health Solution in August 2020, she worked as a research assistant in the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Occupational Health at McGill University for 1.5 years. She has 6 years of research experience in the area of infectious diseases, and 1.5 years of experience in HIV transmission modeling.
She is currently working on multiple projects related to COVID-19, including studying factors driving the observed differences in the trajectory of the sub-epidemics within and between provinces, hospital capacity projections, and estimating the effective reproduction number.
