
Ruth Mwatelah
PhD Student – VADA Intern
Ruth joined our lab for a 16-week internship after winning a training scholarship with the Visual and Automated Disease Analytics (VADA) at the University of Manitoba. She finished her PhD from the University of Manitoba, Department of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. Ruth also has a BSc in Medical Microbiology and MSc in Epidemiology from J.K.U.A.T-Kenya. During her internship, Ruth will develop a predictive model of MSM living with HIV but undiagnosed and unaware of their HIV status.
During her free time Ruth enjoys hiking, backcountry camping, and sailing.
