Phu Nguyen is a recent graduate from the University of Guelph for BScH, and an incoming graduate student for public health at the University of British Columbia. His research interests lie in both psychiatry and epidemiology that address health inequities and inform decision-making. His previous research was evaluative clinical research and meta-analysis in Alzheimer’s disease at Sunnybrook Research Institute. This summer 2022, he is joining Dr. Mishra’s lab to examine heterogeneity in COVID-19 risks across structural and social determinants of health. Phu Nguyen is an anime lover, he also does weightlifting, biking, and cooking during his spare time.
