Maya Stein is a PGY2 Internal Medicine resident at the University of Toronto who has been working with Dr. Mishra since July 2021. Her research is currently focused on the pattern of rise of COVID-19 cases with respect to social determinants of health in Ontario. Her prior research work explored hepatolithiasis in patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis, use of CRP as a marker for acute kidney injury in STEMI, diagnosis of CSF infections in pediatric patients, and novel treatment modalities for epilepsy.
