Maya Stein is a PGY2 Internal Medicine resident at the University of Toronto who has been working with Dr. Mishra between 2021 and 2022. Her research focused on the pattern of rise of COVID-19 cases with respect to social determinants of health in Ontario. Her prior research work explored hepatolithiasis in patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis, use of CRP as a marker for acute kidney injury in STEMI, diagnosis of CSF infections in pediatric patients, and novel treatment modalities for epilepsy.
