Sharmistha was invited by the Centre for Gender & Sexual Health Equity to present her talk on “How to get away with inequities in outbreaks & epidemics” as a part of their Speaker Series. The presentation focuses on her collaborative research work on the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, the discussion revolves around the heterogeneity leading to disproportionate risks of COVID-19 transmission and prevention gaps in Ontario, and the potential impact of implementing tailored strategies.
