Ekta is an undergraduate student in the Arts and Science program at McMaster University. She has been on the team as a summer student since May 2022. Having academic interests that stretch from statistics and economics to film and political theory, Ekta is passionate about integrating areas of academic study to solve real-world problems. Particularly, Ekta cares about using evidence-based ideas to inform effective and innovative health policy. She hopes to help develop strategies that optimize resource and care allocation in resource-constrained areas. She is currently conducting a systematic review of HIV treatment cascade adherence in female sex workers in Sub-Saharan Africa. This work will better inform our understanding of the UN 90-90-90 goals, as they pertain to vulnerable and high-risk populations.
