The Mishra Lab is thrilled to welcome four incredible talents—Armita Kharmandar, Aastha Sharma, Maryann Chen, and Tiffany Seo. Each of them brings unique expertise and passion to their respective roles, and we’re excited to have them on our team!
Armita Kharmandar – Data Analyst
Armita is a University of Victoria graduate with a master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering, specializing in Machine Learning and Data Science. She joined the lab as a co-op student in Summer 2024 and now works as a Data Analyst post-graduation. Armita’s current project focuses on using agent-based simulations to explore interventions for preventing HIV transmission among adolescent girls and young women in Eastern and Southern Africa.
Aastha Sharma – Designer and Developer
Aastha is a third-year Computer Science student at the University of Toronto and our Web Designer and Developer through UofT’s Work-Study Professional Experience Program. She is enhancing the lab’s digital presence with innovative design solutions, currently focused on revamping our website for a more engaging and user-friendly experience.
Maryann Chen – Finance Assistant
Maryann is a third-year Finance & Economics student minoring in Computer Science at the University of Toronto’s Rotman Commerce program. Joining us through the Work-Study Professional Experience Program, Maryann supports the lab’s financial planning and operations.
Tiffany Seo – Administrative Assistant
Tiffany is in her third year studying Book and Media Studies, Music, and Economics at the University of Toronto. Joining us through the University of Toronto Work-Study Professional Experience Program, she serves as the Administrative Assistant for the lab. Tiffany ensures seamless daily operations, organizes processes, and supports grant applications, helping to keep the team running smoothly.
We’re excited to see Armita, Aastha, Maryann, and Tiffany flourish in their roles and contribute to the impactful research at the Mishra Lab. Welcome aboard!
